Well done to everybody who participated in this #WoTIdol 2025. It's a privilege to continue being part of this event, and I'm looking forward to watching these again and again!

Thank you to everybody who helped make The Black Tower possible. It was a tribute to us.

One of the things I appreciate about 'Dark Romance' is that it /is/ self aware. Like 'horror', 'Dark' IS in the name, so I find it wild the sheer amount of time people put into complaining about it being a bad influence on women when It's telling you RIGHT away it's not at all a relationship model 💀

lets say a wizard has cursed you with a lot of money. you are going to become permanently brain damaged simply by being in possession of so much money. the only way out of it is to spend a lot of money on something ridiculous and not at all useful

what would you buy to break the curse?

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.
the cascade of memories this post unlocked 😂 the vegetables drained of color!
it's October and thousands of us are looking for an excuse to dress up anyway. let's tailgate for freedom. let's do the fucking time warp
A problem existing that people aren't aware of, and the potential for that problem to become much bigger to the point that it the puts more people at risk whether through direct or indirect means, seems more like thinking out loud about the shitty people than fearmongering.
I believe the general point regarding data centers has been that, while this issue has been a problem (the original article talks about emergency responses over the course of two years at an Amazon data center) that the increased demand increases the problem.
literally more value in watching a dubbed Disney movie. these people are sad
I'm really wondering how they thought this was going to work out for them
this is... horrifying
They did give me a nightmare scenario addition:

"The larger the datacenter, the larger the battery backup it needs, which we also only have recently started addressing in the code."

And added "So, yeah, I guess we're waiting for a Triangle Shirtwaist Fire for datacenters."

James C Mulligan is going after vids and people who call him out for selling AI images. He’s using copyright as an excuse to get them removed, which is so baffling considering he’s a serial tracer. He has claimed official Bambi background art as his own, but there’s so much more.

A long 🧵

it rules how everyone talks about "founders intentions" as if

1) it matters
2) they didn't write at great length about their political beliefs

constitutional originalists are perverts who read tea leaves in the words of racists looking for ways to be racist
like I get why people enjoy it but I just wanna talk to my friends about stupid fake people, not start a podcast to monetize our dumb conversations

Since you've voluntarily invited a boycott, you get one.

A thread 🧵 about investors in Bluesky, who would love to hear your feedback by phone, snail mail, or email.
So bluesky seems like it's well into its downward spiral era. I'm not all that chuffed with social media at all anymore, but on this second go around with this format I've really enjoyed seeing so much art and fannish content.

I don't know where to go from here. It's sad.
I guess I'm not sure, given how little information is available, that there's any lack of transparency as it is. I don't understand how reporting that this was done in the name of Palestine without any confirmation of that controls the narrative.

I understand tinderbox 😂 it's a mess here
I understand and share your frustration with how this act will be misrepresented and used by right wing and other political interests to demonize the support of the Palestinian people. I would just like to make sure that what I know is closer to the truth than what those people will say.
My understanding is that the search for an Islamist motive is because fake bomb vests have been used in other, similar acts in the past, and not anything to do with this suspect in particular. I'm still not sure how that makes this about Palestine and not antisemitism.
Can you share those reports with me? Maybe there are local sources that aren't widely available.
I'm curious why you came to the conclusion then that the suspect is pro-Palestine. I still can't find any reliable information about him online at all.
I can't seem to find any reporting about the suspect other than that it was a man. Is there local reporting that hasn't made it to more available news media?
so there's evidence that the perpetrator did this in the name of Palestine?
