Never trust a republican. Ever.

They switch on a dime for power. It's all about power with them.

They aren't afraid until repercussions come their way. That's when they go independent. Which is like pleading the 5th.
I actually think there are lots of R. politicians and leaders who want to break from the current administration and its ways but are too scared of the real consequences. They need moral courage and people to support them. There is a cost to doing what's right. Yet there is a greater cost to wrong.

I don't think white liberals understand how many civil rights leaders were murdered by police. This has not diminished since the 60s, they're still murdering us.
“Long before Hoover denounced King as a liar, the NYPD issued a surveillance report on the civil rights leader’s visit to Harlem in 1958, with other memos to follow in the early 1960s. Rank-and-file organizers supporting King received unwanted attention as well.“

Meat processing plants are/were are another link in our food supply chain that had a lot of undocumented workers in them. This is all the current admins fault
Tyson is closing its beef plants in Nebraska and Amarillo, TX (article in the thread).

Sure, the plants may be old. However, that never stopped these companies from continuing to process meat if they had markets and customers.

Tariffs and drought did this. It's a shame.
Tyson's beef plant closure in Nebraska will impact a reliant town and ranchers nationwide
Tyson Foods’ decision to close a beef plant in Lexington, Nebraska, could devastate the small city and undermine the profits of ranchers nationwide.

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.

Nothing has ever trickled down.

always remember the elites don't object to perversion and sex, they use it in advertising all the time. They object to the fact the underclasses have a source of joy and freedom they don't explicitly control and doesn't always result in new consumers and soldiers.
It’s absolutely insane that in America’s late stage capitalism hellscape, where even refrigerators are starting to play ads, payment processors are just like “no porn. That’s where we draw the line.”

I'm flummoxed by the underground movement to rehab cancelled figures. There's a rumor that a studio head is planning to begin bringing cancelled people back. It's bananas. The industry has contracted, leaving writers, directors and actors scrambling for work and we're making space for sex criminals?

The White House: He's not calling for their execution and anyone who says so is biased.

Truly Orwellian.

Bodily autonomy & civil rights are not a fucking OPINION, however. That is not up for debate or to be negotiated. We know exactly who you are targeting here.
Which candidate yet has had the spine to tell right wing & even centrist DEMS that their bigoted OPINIONS do not dictate the laws or science?
There is an extraordinary sense of entitlement behind the belief that there ought to be political party that aligns 100% with your own opinions.

How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

When a news outlet puts a reckless, undocumented claim by the Trump regime in the main headline and puts medical experts’ pushback in the smaller type, it’s making a choice. And not a good one.
