Hoping to reunite with friends/make new ones here! I'm a Puerto Rican writer, speaker & professor with a focus on Christian spirituality & Christian nationalism. One of them is not like the other. My PhD is in Am. Culture/Social History-race, gender, immigration-trying to love *all* of my neighbors.
Small practice, especially if you feel anxious or sad: On a nightly basis, try to recall 5 things you are grateful for. Write them down if you can. If you are religious consider: where did I see God at work today? If you are not, consider: where did I see goodness at work today? #healthyandwhole

These two things are true:
1) Shooting National Guard members is horrific and criminal.
2) So is putting National Guard members in harm’s way to score political points.

I keep saying it’s terrible.
Seeing a fair few academics saying things like ‘sure I know AI is terrible and the people who designed it are terrible and the impact it has on the planet is terrible…but how might *I* be able to use it in a non-terrible way?’

BREAKING: new emails CONFIRM my reporting that there are TRAINING VIDEOS instructing FBI personnel on how to review the Epstein Files. Plus, a lot more…
The emails reveal the special training given to FBI personnel working on what it called the “Epstein Transparency Project.” In some instances they referred to it as the “Special Redaction Project.” The training entailed PowerPoint slide presentations and video instruction on how to review the files.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

@thegodpodcast.com all I want for Christmas is for you to follow me and for righteousness and justice to be done in the world. “God” commented on one of my posts back in the day on Twitter and it was my favorite reply to a Tweet ever. After Elon took over, I deleted my account.

Went to a great conference this week. There I learned that my PhD education from BGSU in my field was stellar, just as good as those who went to Ivy League schools. Those who attend Ivy League schools just have more resources and opportunities than I had.

Truth.
Bankers and private equity wear suits while they rob us blind. Meanwhile volunteers to feed families this holiday season will be in sweatshirts and jeans.
Sean Duffy: "Dressing with respect -- whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better which encourages us to maybe behave a little better. Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport."

Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

NASA was putting suppliers under extreme pressure to keep up with the flight schedule. You’d think safety would be the number one concern, the top priority, but instead politics was taking precedence over the engineering. Catastrophic failure of management.
