Inside Kamala Harris' husband's part in a wild $42 million legal battle over the Taco Bell chihuahua
One of the most high-profile lawsuits in the legal career of Doug Emhoff — the husband of Kamala Harris — is a battle over the Taco Bell chihuahua.

Since Louis CK is in the news again, it's worth restating that he never gave an honest accounting of his sexual misconduct—his initial "apology" and his subsequent statements have been contradicted by the testimony of his victims, and contained elisions and gaps intended to exonerate him.

Actual study: Anthropic paid MIT to use a "labor simulation tool" that said 11.7% of TASKS could be done by AI

Faculty unions should absolutely advocate for anti-racism and decolonization, including in Palestine.

To argue otherwise is to be a collaborator.

(I am agreeing with this article.)

So many people are showing they know what it means to be New Yorkers!

Demanding "neutrality" on issues such as the genocide of Palestinians from unions is just an insincere attempt to block antiracist and anticolonial speech

It’s not complicated: NU was not unduly pressured to bash the skulls of
Negroes, homosexuals, trans ppl, protesters & Palestinians: they WANTED to do this! Biden, Stefanik & Trump were just their tools. NU’s board, Schill, Bienen, Whitaker, these are all deeply reactionary, anti-democratic ppl.
Look, every single “deal” reached by a university with the Trump administration is a moral stain that will be seen with deep embarrassment once we’re through this. But for Northwestern to do this now, when the administration is visibly weakened, is even more shameful and inexcusable.

I really believe the tech bros build Ai systems to give confident, if often wrong, answers because that works for them. That’s what they do every day. They don’t understand that most people *need* to be correct, that they don’t have thirteen safety nets to catch them if they make a mistake.

I just want to remind people that Louis CK masturbated in front of multiple colleagues over the course of many years many of whom because of it chose to leave the profession.
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter

Student arrived very sick to show how sick he is to prove that he cannot do a presentation. Exposed the entire class to flu or Covid

I’m assuming the only reason he showed up that sick was because my co-instructor is extremely cop in assessment. But she will likely get a teaching award this year 🫠
