also like 5 times i was all "well this is obviously the last level, clearly this is the final boss" but NOPE it keeps going! even without getting all the collectibles or doing the b-sides at all (!) this is a wildly generous game. i used to be all "we have meat boy at home" but i realllly get it now

i finally really played the game Celeste last night and i am in what i think is the endgame section now, and WOW i knew it was a loved game but i did not have ANY clue how emotionally deep and resonant it would be, and how it weds the narrative with the gameplay in VERY clever ways many many times

like first time i played HK i was really fighting the game, but got fairly far before quitting MANY hours in. a couple years later i went for a replay and BREEZED thru it over a couple weekends' play and am currently procrastinating on beating radiance (doubt i'll get to absolute radiance tho tbh)

is silksong actually is difficult as The People say it is or is it more like, difficult in the way of like, the first time you run thru the original hollow knight and you're challenged like crazy but it later becomes a bit tricky but extremely doable
