Saw the movie first, then searched out the book and...no.
Not bad, exactly, and I liked the backstory that can fit in a book, but...goddamn, that movie is SO GOOD.

I'm hesitant to give him credit for the thing that literally any politician with a pulse would have done: shovel mountains of $ at the people who make vaccines.
Honestly he lucked into being pres when mRNA vaccines came into their own, and this became an option!

The sanderson books are...fine. Maybe i'm just not a fan (haven't read him otherwise), but they're distinctly different.
Worth it tho, he does do a good job!
The Slog isn't so bad since it's complete, but the early 2000s were rough, when you'd wait years for the next book and it was Path of Daggers.
