i do think it's important to note that liberal boomer pilates grandmas have *already* been showing up in pretty huge numbers to protests for a long time (and do a lot of other non-glamorous organizing)-they're way down there on the list of demographics who need extra encouragement to get out there

ICE broke down her door, injured her kids, disappeared her for weeks, no notice, no warrant, no cause. Only a random tip got her lawyers access, & only the involvement of the State of Delaware AG’s office - via personal, private backchannels - got her released, & dumped, alone, at a roadside motel.

The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

I’m glad, but make no mistake: rerouting funding to an organization means they are washing their hands of administering this.

Meaning if there’s abuse, they will not be investigating. Meaning this is yet another step towards privatization of education, particularly for disabled students.
