I'm not going to tell other writers what to do, but I can say for myself that I haven't really had a problem signaling that someone is a racist/otherwise bigoted piece of shit without going for slurs. This is an issue directly relevant to the novel of mine that's coming out this year, incidentally.
So even if I write a character who is a racist, crude, despicable piece of shit, it’s inappropriate to use any kind of slur in their dialogue? That’s not a criticism, I’m just interested in your thought. Even if you were to censor it in the speech with *** or something similar?

Well, they also built all those concentration camps... They could probably use those to keep them there until we manage to release all the people from prisons that don't belong there and make room there.

It's astounding that there aren't 23 people that will put country over party.
Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

One thing that absolutely needs to be done is a concerted effort to get propagandized news off the air and internet. I'm not even talking from a government level, but on a personal level. Block 24 hour news from the devices of our loved ones, fix their social media algorithms, etc.

Immigration is a fake problem. We have politicians on the one hand who want to use immigrants as scapegoats for our real ones and politicians on the other who are too cowardly to stand against them and tell the truth. That is the entire situation. Until that changes, people will continue to die.

Once again, immigration is not even a problem. Immigrants are not more criminal, they don't cost jobs, they don't harm the economy. There is no reason for any of this. It is hurting ourselves to hurt them.
