The revenue service demonstration test may have wrapped up yesterday, but these problems (along with bunching and gapping) remain.
For anyone wondering how the Eglinton Crosstown LRT revenue service demonstration is going, many of the drivers are still finding it challenging to stop in the right place and to set the destination shown on the vehicle (and on the displays above the platforms).

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Show what measles looks like.

Given the cursed history of this project, will anyone be surprised if this announcement jinxed the test?

I tell Trump my peace terms, Trump tells Witkoff what they are and then Witkoff tells me Trump's terms that I told him then I say they aren't enough so we both blame Ukraine for me not accepting my own terms and I keep attacking them.

Rinse. Repeat.

Have some holiday cheer - my video of the CPKC Holiday Train passing through Leaside this evening.

As this train raises donations for food banks, I will be donating all earnings from this video as of Christmas Day to a local food bank.

It appears it's 6200 with the flat spot(s) because it's now paired with 6243 and still going thump thump thump
Eglinton Crosstown LRT update:

Positive: stickers have been added on the platforms telling people to move to the end where trains stop

Negative: gapping/bunching continues, 6200+6249 still has at least one flatspotted wheel, drivers are still having trouble stopping in the right place

If you're buying computer memory or anything that contains some of it, I hope you already bought it a couple of months ago.

Or have no idea what the prices were back then because ignorance is bliss.

(This is AI's fault for sending demand for RAM soaring.)

Has the TTC pulled its eBuses from service? In my travels along Eglinton Avenue East this morning, I don't believe I've seen a single one, and my first bus of the day (a route which normally runs mostly or entirely eBuses at that time) was 100% diesels.

An author-signed book is one of the most affordable gifts you can give a friend or loved one.

The American Museum of Natural History shop stocks a dozen of my books, pre-signed by me. You’ll pay near-list price or a Black-Friday price, but proceeds go to the Museum.
