FWIW, 98% of criminal cases in this country end in plea bargains.
I agree with this sentiment completely. Juries are wrong plenty of the time, but they are basically incorruptible, and not a single juror has ever worried about being reelected or reappointed to the position.

FWIW, I trucked my wife/kids down to DC for the March for Our Lives protest in 2018, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of young people and it did fuck all.
Lots of young rally-goers in sw Connecticut at the #NoKings rallies in October. People of all ages, young as well as forever young.
The absence of young people in protests against Trump’s authoritarianism matters, and not for crowd counts. The No Kings protesters look like, and in many cases are, the same people who protested during Trump’s first term in office. But older people with signs are old news in the attention economy.
