For DECADES now we have inflated the egos of techbros into the sky & beyond.

We elevated them as geniuses & visionaries. It's our job now to deflate those egos & bring these jerks to heel. Knowing how to code or get VC funding does not mean you know anything IMPORTANT about how the world works
This one and NOAA really hit home.

There is no possible way Musk’s cadre of young’uns has the first clue about how complex either the aviation system or the climate system are. This is like handing a six year old the keys and saying, “You drive for a while, I’m going to take a nap in the back."
I can do better. I will do better.

I have no conclusion. The whole system, and all the systems it is embedded in, is broken.

I accidentally collapsed into bed and did absolutely nothing even the tiniest bit productive all day long.

Perhaps I am extremely tired and worn out from all the recent stress . . . ?

Swapped places with my Mr. and now he's unemployed and job hunting.

One of these years we will manage a state of non-stressful stability in our housing, employment, health, and general well-being.

But not this year . . .

We had to put an end to the use of CGMs in our household. It was making the kiddo less safe and more fixated on arbitrary metrics.
This week on Optimizer, I talk about how a year of testing over the counter CGMs off and on almost wrecked my relationship with food.

OTC CGMs are powerful tools but I’ve personally struggled with increased food anxiety — especially around holidays.
