It’s obviously up to the individual to decide what risks they want to take but I don’t think everyone capable of operating bikes, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. are all at a skill level that guarantees they will never wipe out, even if they’re not involved in a collision.

Advocating for increased helmet use does not imply that no other controls should be implemented. I also think that people should wear safety glasses when using power tools and seatbelts when riding in cars, gloves when handling chemicals and oven mitts when handling hot pans.
