Here are US military lawyers stating clearly that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's "kill everybody" orders are either (1) war crimes or (2) murder.

Either way, expect prosecutions in the future.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence to see this attempt to Uno reverse even the meager fallout of Me Too happening at the same time as the current administration’s relentless attack against “woke.” But the thing is that as much as they try they can’t unring the bell.
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Potential broad-spectrum antiviral. Shows efficacy against some of the worst shit. Utterly amazing news.
We're close to the world's first-ever broad-spectrum antiviral. In a breakthrough, researchers at the City University of New York have identified a promising path to the development of an antiviral that could be used to fight a wide range of deadly viruses, including future pandemic threats.

Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

on Tuesday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee are going to consider (or re-consider) 19 ""internet safety for kids"" bills, including id verification and KOSA, which hangs around like a bad smell. I don't know if anything we do or say makes a difference, but consider calling.

Stop KOSA
KOSA is a censorship bill that won’t make kids safe. Instead, it'll put all internet users at risk, especially youth. If you believe in a free and open internet, tell your lawmakers to reject #KOSA!

Implausible to the point of absolute fantasy to not have two hot athletes immediately hook up before the feelings make themselves known. The “will they, won’t they” is not about of they have sex, it’s about whether they’re going to risk everything to be together out loud, in the public.
but this? shut the fuck up. guess what, my man, gorgeous young 22 year olds like to fuck. And queer people deserve love stories that are sexy and horny. a "chaste kiss" please be for real.

We need a deep investigation into vinay prasad’s brand deals, affiliate relationships, and stock portfolio
Here's Prasad's full email, if you'd like to read it for yourself: www.washingtonpost.com/documents/30...

And I jotted down a few thoughts on my substack, including how the strategy of "asking more evidence" — which on the surface, sure, everyone wants more data — can lead to red tape.
FDA's big change to how vaccines will get approved
We obtained an internal email laying out the planned shift in strategy.

The FDA has provided no evidence of this. Something of this gravity would ordinarily be published in a journal reviewed by others. That’s the mostly likely reason they didn’t. It wouldn’t withstand scrutiny.

This is essentially Vinay Prasad, who has an MD, declaring his intent to use the government to torture children to dead via preventable disease by knowingly withholding the cure.

To call this despicable is an understatement.
Vinay Prasad of the FDA claims that he has proof that 10 children died from COVID19 vaccines, so the FDA will now target flu shots, look at whether people should receive multiple vaccines at the same time, and make the vaccine approval process significantly more difficult.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
