OTD in 1978 USSR & Afghanistan signed a "friendship treaty". We invaded them a year later.

So you can trust us with a peace deal now.

1767 hours means on average 5.8 hours per day that California's clean energy production covered 100% of its electric need, mostly high use daytime hours with dirt cheap prices. Go California. www.sfgate.com/tech/article...
California has a huge solar power problem. A fix is coming.
The state's glut of solar power is about to become far, far easier to sell.

Tonight I went back to Joseph A Banks, first time in 25 years since the salesman swore up and down that my email would only be used to notify me that the alterations were done. Liar. I tried many times to unsubscribe, and swore never to return.

Maybe I forgave to quickly.

The president is a political cartoon of corruption come to life, a gaudy grifter who is selling off pardons and lining his pockets, building a golden ballroom and protecting his fellow sex predator elites, all the while regular Americans are suffering and struggling to make ends meet.

Pharmacy loyalty cards are pricing fraud. Nearly everyone is paying with non-cash anyway. There should be only one price.

The next Democratic president, if we ever have one, better reverse this agreement. Obviously antisemitism is wrong, but antisemitism is only a pretext for this agreement designed to use government powers for partisan ends.

I really wish journalists would stop using the word "retribution" to describe Trump's efforts to criminalize opposition to him, as it treats his claim that his adversaries did something wrong in the first place.

He’s going to kill people for oil.

1) There were interviews. Fox didn't air them.
2) Due process isn't just for people we think are innocent. It's for everyone, even when we think they are guilty.
3) The US benefits from countries observing the traditional laws of the sea, and has every reason to set that example.
Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

Is there going to be an app we can use when we have a gunshot wound and need to determine which emergency room is cheaper tonight?
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

I'm curious to see how the state ever proves there was a fertilized egg in any woman it prosecutes. Even if they somehow could, how would they prove it was fertilized before transiting the cervix? Any act of verification would itself be an abortion.
Women who get an abortion and anyone who helps them could face up to 30 years in prison under the bill.

It appears to ban any contraception that prevents a fertilized egg from implanting. That would ban IUDs and could strictly limit in-vitro fertilization.
Women Who Have Abortions Would Face Decades in Prison Under South Carolina Plan
Women who get abortions could spend decades in prison and IUDs would be outlawed under proposed legislation in South Carolina.
