The media is entirely responsible for Donald Trump in our lives and Elon Musk as well. Real engineers and scientists knew he was a moron long ago. I was told repeatedly by my brother and his nerds at JPL that Elon was a dolt. But tech press don't know shit either and access is the name of the game.

I wonder if there's a market here for viewers wanting every show to be a puzzle box and @innuendostudios.bsky.social's expertise with Adventure Games

maybe there are games that would be especially well-adapted to an 8-episode arc? an adult Blue's Clues that's a manicured Let's Play?
I also think the desire to “solve” a show robs it of the ability to evolve in meaning as the culture around it evolves. The best art can be interpreted in many ways as we ourselves shift!

It was genuinely an honor to meet Mr. Chavarria at Tuesday's hearing. His story is incredible; grew up in a refugee camp in Honduras, graduated as a valedictorian at 15, got scholarships in the US, met his husband here, became a US citizen, and is now a school superintendent in Vermont.
Chavarria, a U.S. citizen, was held at the airport "for more than four hours and released only after he finally agreed to let the agents search his smartphone, tablet, and laptop computer. The agents...informed him that he had no Fourth Amendment right to resist." @pacificlegal.bsky.social is suing.
CBP agents held this U.S. citizen for hours until he agreed to let them search his electronic devices
A federal lawsuit argues that perusing travelers' personal data without a warrant or probable cause violates the Fourth Amendment.

Honestly from the first 15 seconds I thought I would hate this way more. If you can trick parents into taking their kids to see a movie where corruption and greed ruin a utopia, I'm for it

IMO the most important part is that the bad guys win and everyone leaves horrified
First trailer for Andy Serkis’ ‘ANIMAL FARM’ has dropped.

In theaters May 1.

Agree and like the articulation, but want to remind folks this is similar to the audition problem

Many actors and singers are better at auditioning then being part of a production

Ditto skilled grant writers vs the projects. Interviewing vs. the job
i think a (perhaps underappreciated) aspect of this whole situation is the extent to which every elite profession is filled with people who excel at drawing attention and want to be famous more than they want to do the actual job

I'm pretty anti-AI but I've had family members come to be asking me why it never finds what they're after, then I write a much more clear prompt, and get a correct answer
there’s a lot of irony around how writing a genuinely good prompt for LLMs requires the exact kind of clarity and precision in communication that is taught by good (human) writing instructors - who have now almost all been laid off by college admins

I'm missing NYC so hard with the guys coming out and shaking things up. Brad was such a king during the mayoral race, a friend to NY for a very long time
I've probably photographed Brad Lander more than any other elected in NYC because the dude shows up. He's everywhere, he's incredibly accessible, and he genuinely loves New Yorkers. You can literally go up and talk to him whenever he shows up. Go ahead, try it!

(I have NEVER seen Goldman ANYWHERE.)
