something that people who don’t make things - whether it be art, food, clothing, etc - don’t understand is that creativity isn’t just an innate trait that some people have. learning to cultivate, edit, and recreate your ideas is a skill that has to be developed.

What I know is there are still great journalists - even at elite media outlets - who are doing good work. Adopting a knee-jerk cynicism about all they do abandons those journalists. And it's lazy. And it plays into hands of authoritarians who WANT people to distrust all fact-based journalism.
Come on Eric….you know what these means about the Times and a lot of elite media

there is a lot to be upset about here, but I can’t get over 19 interviews. thats comically unfair on its own. fuck riot and fuck all the people making creative industries a nightmare
3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.
