It is our responsibility to clean up our own mess.
A nuclear-armed U.S. under full totalitarian control is an existential threat to billions of people. To life on this planet.

It's up to us, U.S. citizens living here in the imperial core, to stop it. Nobody is coming to save us. Not the U.N., not the ICJ. It's us or it's nobody.

Likewise, the "Compact for Academic Excellence" and the attacks on the Ivy League aren't about reform.

Nuance and critical theory are enemies to a movement built on myth. Since they can't force Harvard to teach their alternate reality, they will tax, sue, and harass it until it ceases to function.

Don't mistake incompetence for accident. The degradation of your social media feed, the collapse of your news, the defunding of your school—it is all functional.

They are happy to rule over the ashes, as long as they are the ones holding the match.

History tells us where this "co-opt or destroy" scheme leads. In 1945, when it became clear he could not own the future of Germany, Hitler issued the "Nero Decree."

He ordered the destruction of his own country's infrastructure. If the nation wouldn't serve him, it didn't deserve to survive him.

There’s a specific mechanism in authoritarian movements that we’re seeing play out in real-time across American media and tech. It’s a simple rule: "If we cannot co-opt it, we must destroy it."

It is the logic of "scorched earth." It's the logic of the Nero Decree and it's happening right now. 🧵

Not the Thunder's fault all those Clippers picks for Paul George didn’t result in a dynasty.
Everyone keeps talking about the Thunder being unbeatable and I feel like I’m crazy because we haven’t even seen them win on the league’s biggest stage a single time.

Loaded up Street Fighter 2 the Animated movie for nostalgia and it still rips. I'd sooner rematch Van Damme as Guile before I watch Cody Rhodes.
Somehow I'm going to live long enough to watch two absolutely trash Street Fighter movies.

The agents...informed him that he had no Fourth Amendment right to resist." @pacificlegal.bsky.social is suing.
CBP agents held this U.S. citizen for hours until he agreed to let them search his electronic devices
A federal lawsuit argues that perusing travelers' personal data without a warrant or probable cause violates the Fourth Amendment.

WOW. @haleaziz.bsky.social with a new scoop: ICE now gets a running list of every person who is going to be taking a domestic flight inside the United States from the TSA and runs it through their database looking for targets. This explains the Babson College student's arrest.
