Free child care for 5-18 year olds is one of the most significant and obviously beneficial developments in human history, but you seek to expand it to 1-4 year olds and its wild eyed socialism.
You guys realize that taxing people to pay for services isn't socialism, right? This is just how governments work.

every time some prominent man is like ‘but all men want to fuck 17 year olds! every last one!’ i feel just fucking empty man. because there’s no way to confirm it isn’t true is there? i can’t prove that all of civilization isn’t just an elaborate cover for men’s supposed desperation to fuck children

Yes! Mind you, this is only American academia, not a universal practice. Canadian unis used to go straight to shortlist on-campus interviews, which at least had the merit that candidates did not have to fund the expensive conference on the off-chance of those interviews leading to something
If you are not in academia, you might not know this, but job interviews used to be held at conferences IN HOTEL ROOMS. Women candidates in a hotel room alone with often all-male committees. People sitting on beds! The horror stories I've heard.
I thing I sometimes thing about is that university departments were still doing job interviews in hotel rooms in the mid aughts

If you have to get permission to teach in your area of expertise from people who are definitionally not qualified to adjudicate your expertise then you are no longer working at a university.

You’re working at a state propaganda factory.

Kind of crazy that evidence is mounting that the world is run by a group of rapists, pedophiles, and men convinced of women’s inmate natural inferiority, and the pundit class is trying to convince us that the real social crisis is that men are victimized and lonely because women have too many jobs.
You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

What the Epstein files show is the *solidarity* of many men-across class, race, religion, profession & party affiliation-in the global political project of keeping the boot on women's necks.

People have no problem understanding class solidarity among the rich. Why can't they see gender solidarity?
Like I dunno, maybe the reason it took a lady to break open the story of all the men protecting the dude trafficking underage girls is because the male journos were all emailing him making jokes about it?

Really disturbed seeing my high school do this.
Last week an indigenous student at my local high school was suspended for an Insta post strongly criticizing Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Read & sign if you think the school has no business policing students’ political views (or language on social media…)
