Fog-covered Nuremberg on early-morning fall days looks unreal 🍂
The St. Sebaldus church in Nuremberg covered in fog with two trees in front of it whose leaves show a gamut of fall colors, from dark green to yellow, orange, and red.

I've never seen Cabaret, but from the moment I woke up, my brain DEMANDED that I listen to the original cast recording.

I don't even like musicals; I've lamented that I don't have the gene, but holy shit this is so wonderful and I think maybe I got a mutation somehow and I get musicals?

glad you're taking care of yourself--we'll be here when you get back!

i feel like i need to share this oldie but a goodie today
A tumblr post that reads "WHo would have believed that the perfect wikipedia photo caption could have been improved upon?" Two identical images are then side by side. The first caption is "Piper Kerr, a member of the Scottis National Antarctix Expedition, plays the bagpipes for an indifferent penguin, March 1904". The Caption for the image on the left reads, "Piper Kerr (right), a member of the Scottis National Antarctix Expedition, plays the bagpipes for an indifferent penguin, March 1904"

Ouf and keeping those low is so important to so many- here's hoping icms can get past the pandemic slump soon!

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
A plan seen in both in canon and civil law books and some continental missals! Nice to see it there!

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Ah so you do ask for 2k - that makes sense. I'll attend for a day or 2 at least now that I'm back in the US and can pick up extras easily enough. Thanks so much for the info- really helpful!

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
So helpful to have these numbers thanks! (Plotting reg packet fliers and just wanted a ballpark to estimate costs etc!)

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Yeah I'm not sure they ever release hard numbers but I def remember 3k or more being bandied about at times but if it's settled around 1500 these days that's great tbh

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Oh very helpful Heidi tyvm! Sounds like 1500-2k would be a ballpark estimate at least

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Yeah indeed well. I thought it'd be over 2k too but wasn't sure if they were still pulling 3 or 4 or not- thanks for that estimate

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Anyone know what Kzoo attendance numbers are these days, roughly? I know they're down from pre-pandemic/renovations but I'm trying to get a sense of how much and can't find reports to document.

themedievaldrk.bsky.social
Yikes for real the original?? Madness (intentionally so I know)

The ability to dampen leds should mean that it's a standard option and the fact that isn't the case drives me Crazy!

Preach preach preach. It's maddening how like talking to a wall it can be sometimes.

people will literally be 'laura, you should read this "dark academia" novel' and like sorry academia gave me depression, mid-tier alcohol issues and made me want to kms, if there is anything i do not need it's academia-flavoured darkness
