(hahah. SEVENTH. There's another one. This is how it happens-they aren't studied, a new one turns up and it flushes out others that weren't recognized as part of the set before. Lordy one more project I put aside that I really OUGHT to finish now. sigh.)

honestly it's just my job. this sort of thing is what I'm trained to do--turn up these kinds of finds

(Should the auction's describer ALSO have noted that, w/an eye towards a higher price? Perhaps. When I say 15thc English border art REALLY isn't studied, I mean it REALLY isn't studied!)

Kinda cool to randomly stumble onto a manuscript leaf up at auction, immediately recognize the border artist, check my notes, and see that this leaf marks a heretofore unknown, 6th manuscript painted by this person!

I'm just tired.

(And yes, it'd be great if I could afford a phone plan that allows int'l calling. I SHOULD be able to. And yet here I am.)

UKcreditcard: the only way to cancel a card w/o a phonecall is via chat.
Chat: "we are borked as we have been for months. but only for this particular service. also we ** out swears."
UKbank: the only way to close accts w/o a call is spending 100US to mail 2 pieces of paper to us
