😷 Masks aren't traumatising.
Abandonment is.
Airborne denial is.
Hospital-acquired infection is.
Long Covid and severe ME is.

The most traumatising part of the ongoing pandemic and current flu surge is the refusal to care. /14

The layered approach is the best way to reduce your chances of getting #COVID19. It's not just one mitigation. Layering multiple mitigations will help prevent you getting it or spreading it: masking, distancing, going virtual, air purifiers, ventilation, Far-UVC, and vaccines all add up.

This is heartbreaking. Long Covid is real, it is common, and more people are developing it every day because we aren’t doing *anything* to stop transmission.
For anyone who still doesn't know what #LongCOVID is - take a paper straw, flatten it, & then breathe through it for at least the next 2 years; & then imagine that this is one of only 50 symptoms (& for some people, even more).

Then imagine no one believes you.

And there's no cure.

COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves.

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.

But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.

They are still worth getting.

Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

Be the happy peace sign waving emoji instead of the sick and sniffling emoji.

How can you do that?

Wear a mask! Ideally a respirator like an N95.
