Gf and I babysat the neighbors awesome little son years ago, his dad is like 6'3" so I remember chuckling at my 5'1" gf getting annoyed at him catching up with her, last time I saw him he was like 15 and a couple inches taller than my 5'9" ass, which was not as funny.

Yeah, but the learning curve to basic lethality is waaaay shallower than a knife. I've been in fights, I've practiced martial arts, I'm good with various tools, but a knife is for whittling or carving food or throwing in a pinch (practiced how to do that as a kid!) and for hurting yourself easily.
