Oh. Cool. Just as the President is using every power he can to suppress dissent and stifle speech, @whitehouse.senate.gov and the @judiciarydems.senate.gov are trying to hand Trump a new tool to suppress speech online.

What a joke.
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

it always breaks my brain to watch them vote in a way they will 100% be punished for, when they already know they will, when voting the other way would cost them personally nothing, and the only thing they get is... hurting people.

imagine what has to be in your heart to do that.
The GOP just blocked extending the ACA subsidies - again.

Making people’s healthcare skyrocket while you control the White House and both chambers of Congress seems like a great move for the midterms.

Anyway.

Others have said this before, but I'd be less annoyed at Democrats for focusing on the economy (rather than on Trump's crimes) if they had anything worthwhile to say about the economy.

"Trump is an outright racist and he appeals to 10s of millions of US citizens who are also outright racists" is both fundamentally, obviously true ... and something that mainstream journalism has decided is impermissible to say.

In spirit, content and intent, this was really no different to a Klan rally.

The exception being the wholesale absence of outrage in mainstream media.

This period of history will be an indictment on those standing silent, as much as the monster himself.
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."

The crowd in Pennsylvania then starts chanting "send her back!"

ICE trying to ORDER a church to REMOVE A NATIVITY SCENE is one of the most astonishing First Amendment violations I've seen in ever
ICE’s acting director ordered a Boston Catholic parish to tear down its Advent Nativity scene—stripped of baby Jesus and branded with the message “ICE WAS HERE.” The parish priest is refusing, citing he pope’s call to stand with migrants. It's another chapter in Kristi Noem's war on Christians.
