Sorry, White Nationalists, Europeans were Black until the Rise of Rome, and Rome was Multiracial
Ann Arbor (Informed Comment) - We live in a time when a once level-headed anti-populist politician such as J. D. Vance has increasingly adopted the language of white nationalism, signing on to the Gre...

At Sayburç 🇹🇷 new sculpture was discovered, depicted with face that has sealed mouth and presumably is evoking stillness of death. This 12000-years old sculpture considered a unique insight into early Neolithic mortuary symbolism.

Good morning! Woke to find that it’s apparently now December, winter solstice within touching distance!
Somehow I know I’ll dreaming of the light all day!
Happy new month to you!

“The continuing return of salmon heralds hope for more healthy ecosystems and these charismatic fish are excellent ambassadors for protecting and restoring our local watersheds,” Jeff Miller, director of the Alameda Creek.

I needed a little positivity in my life. Salmon, swimming.

The Serpent Who Shelters the Sun (Ra’s Journey in the Duat)
Book of Gates scene from the Tomb of Seti I, c. 1290–1279 B.C.

Though the scene is serene, it conveys a cosmic drama: the nightly triumph of order over disorder, protection over peril, life renewed from the brink of darkness.
