Reports are conflicting but it seems that Hamas has gone to war with the Doghmush clan in Gaza City. Many reports of sieges, arrests/kidnappings and deaths on both sides. The Doghmush clan did NOT work with Israel; they're just a rival power in Gaza.

Was told today about Indigenous people in Brazil who were desperate to vote against Bolsonaro. There were no polling booths in their villages so they got buses to the city, and when the military blocked their buses many miles from the city they got off and walked there. Fight for your vote, always.

“Fall for it” is generous. While I doubt many of the copycats know the Nazi origins, the fact is that along this axis they find Nazi perspectives vis-a-vis Jews appealing and basically agree with it.

Israeli cuisine, like all cuisines, is a meld of influences from all around the world, because Jews have had to live all around the world and have been influenced by it. The reason there are Arab food influences in Israel is because a lot of Israeli Jews lived in the Arab world.
