Really enjoying this Texas game because, as a Red Raider, I'm not really used to winning, but I very much am into spoiling other teams' perfect seasons.

Review: This thing was a tome, but I saw it on the shelf in my boss' office and thought 'why not?' Pretty fun to see where all the Dr. Strangelove jokes came from. Basic takeaway? We should definitely have a thermonuclear war.

Not funny. Corgis only do this when they're extremely seepy.

Still not sure if The Forever War is trying to tell me "everyone in the future is gay!" (and that's bad) or "everyone in the future is gay!" (and it's fine).

Going back to 1939 to explain that the central conflict in The Wizard of Oz is that Glenda is mad that The Witch and The Scarecrow are fucking.

The year is 867. My job is to get France's shit together.
The year is 1444. My job is to get France's shit together.
The year is 1836. My job is to get France's shit together.
The year is 1936. My job is to get France's shit together.
This would also really force the European meta (as compared to the Chinese dynamic) to revolve around ducat generation, which would really penalize "large but basket case" nations like France from really being runaway threats until centuries of investment in internal stability.

The muffled tongue of Big Ben tolled nine by the clock as the cortege left the palace, but on history’s clock it was sunset, and the sun of the old world was setting in a dying blaze of splendor never to be seen again.
On this day I always recommend reading The Guns of August, a superb book about how the events of August 1914 led to a global conflict that killed and wounded tens of millions. President John F. Kennedy was so impressed by it that he ordered the Pentagon to send a copy to every general.

Can you even imagine that amortization schedule?
The best argument for this would be if you could consistently advance in your career without needing to physically move and so bought for the long term where you wanted to be… so of course the administration that has done its best to crush remote work in all its forms is proposing it.
