Cinema Sins has much to pay for, but the idea we have to explain every last detail from when a movie ends and the sequel begins is just bad writing.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Congestion pricing was helpful because it reminded me who has their own Baileys, but progressive
the congestion pricing thing was kinda a massive red flag here. even the median progressive believes that improving overall outcomes is bad if a single hypothetical poor person might be negatively effected

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Rewatching Witness for the first time in ages and oh man does it rock. Every cop thriller should have a Days of Heaven aesthetic, simmering sexual chemistry, and an incredible third act barn chase sequence

A formative part of my mother’s childhood was having to go to the cannery to buy mislabeled items at a discount. This was 1970 in America.
It is genuinely hard for most people to grasp how poor the past was.

The ADL has decided to treat fascists as allies and progressives as enemies. For a group that is tasked with protecting American Jews, that is a world historic fuck up.

I will never forgive these people for their moral decrepitude.

The description of Mamdani’s coalition as “anyone with their back against the wall” is how we win. His speech last night is the blueprint, that our safety, wealth, happiness all are tied together.
