Congestion pricing was helpful because it reminded me who has their own Baileys, but progressive
the congestion pricing thing was kinda a massive red flag here. even the median progressive believes that improving overall outcomes is bad if a single hypothetical poor person might be negatively effected

A formative part of my mother’s childhood was having to go to the cannery to buy mislabeled items at a discount. This was 1970 in America.
It is genuinely hard for most people to grasp how poor the past was.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life
