THIS IS NOT A DRILL

TRANSIT RIDERS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE CITY OF SEATTLE
With basically all the ballots in the city of Seattle's mayoral election counted, Katie Wilson is now above 50 percent, with Mayor Bruce Harrell sliding to 49.6 percent. They're currently within the mandatory recount requirements, but machine recounts don't generally change things much.

Seattle Progressives, get your ballots in early so that the @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social campaign doesn't have to use resources reminding you to turn in your ballot when you are already a locked in vote for her and know exactly who you are voting for!

Confirmed: SDOT will be removing the bus only lane on E Union Street this weekend, ceding this part of the $130 million RapidRide G project back to general purpose traffic in response to requests from nearby property owners.

Key Harrell political strategist was paid for years at City Hall in unusual arrangement
Some current and former city staff and elected officials say the arrangement represented a thorny conflict between politics and governance.

We are beyond disappointed in SDOT's proposals here. Their plan of "exploring future options like dedicated bus lanes once key congestion issues are addressed" is completely nonsensical. You can't just wave a magic wand and get rid of the congestion on Denny.

Bus lanes ARE the solution.

Dow Constantine took credit for the Redmond link opening his first week as CEO so I’m blaming him for this
Sound Transit's new monthly status report on system expansion (released today) pegs the grand opening day for Federal Way Link at December 13, 2025.

And for the full East Link line at April 25, 2026.

Katie Wilson isn’t just an excellent candidate for mayor. She’s also running an excellent campaign. This @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social mailer does a great job laying out solutions on homelessness and contrasting it with Bruce Harrell’s failures.

See, campaigning is fun.

18 months of delay for a short-staffed committee, and neither could get their ass up to attend and vote on this... 👎
