Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

“He can’t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’” Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

Kids like 7-year-old Mia write about missing their friends and family, wanting to go back to school, and not sleeping or eating well at the Dilley detention center in Texas. These stories expose the inhumanity of this administration's immigration policies.

When I wrote Section 230 I did so knowing it would be critical for protecting free speech online. 30 years later and it’s one of the last things standing in the way of Republican censorship of the internet. Here’s to many more years of defending this vital safeguard of free speech.

The Trumpers are such pathetic snowflakes
NBC editing out the booing of JD Vance is a disgrace. It’s an international event. Americans have the right to know what the world is saying. NBC has bowed down to Trump.

I asked Ron Wyden what his cryptic letter to the CIA was all about. He wouldn't say.

"I wrote it for a specific reason. That’s all I can say.”

He did a similar thing before, in 2011, and illicit spy activities were later revealed by Edward Snowden

Ron Wyden has previously warned about spy abuses before they were public. Now he and Mark Warner say something else is up.

this. Jesus fuck. this.
"Successful anti-authoritarian movements do not win by softening their positions. They win by building unlikely coalitions around a broadly resonant grievance."

Like, say, corruption. Or, unchecked corporate power.
How Not to Defeat Authoritarianism
Moderation used to help Democrats win, but its advantages now have been greatly exaggerated.

The Washington Post isn't credible covering the Trump administration, it's no longer an international newspaper, and it stopped being an effective local paper ages go. Bezos will pretty much own a famous logotype for a personal blog run by a few proxies. www.politico.com/news/2026/02...
The Washington Post, owned by Jeff Bezos, makes dramatic cuts
Hundreds of Post employees could lose their jobs, with sections including sports, metro, books and international coverage hit particularly hard.

I walked around the corner of the school to see where student drop-off and pick-up happen -- and where ICE shows up every day to hunt for brown and Black kids -- and noticed the signs lining the classroom windows. Kinda broke me tbh.

@mayorbowser.dc.gov I understand prioritizing important thoroughfares. But why do some city streets sometimes get zero treatment (no salt, no plowing, heck for our block, zero leaf collection many years)?

Republicans cut funding for health care to pay for Trump's lawless militia. Giving more money to use 5-year-olds as bait and shoot unarmed mothers is unacceptable. I will not vote to give more money to ICE until there is accountability and an end to these abuses.

This video shows Donald Trump’s lawless federal agents again out of control. The Senate cannot vote to keep funding this. Every single agent complicit in these horrors should be put on trial at the state level for real accountability.

No one should vote to fund this or say that it can be improved with proper training. At this point, "Abolish ICE" is the moderate position.

Look. I don’t trust the Dems, or any party, to give us liberation.

But right now, we have to use every lever we can to stop ICE from surveilling snd terrorizing our communities.

If enough people speak out right now we have a real shot at getting House Dems to vote en masse against ICE funding
