This is comedy, but it's actually a fantastic representation of how somebody can end up in a delusional spiral.
I do not believe ChatGPT can trigger this in someone who isn't already vulnerable to it. However, people are usually unaware of that vulnerability before their first break with reality.

If you're a little on the spectrum like me then a multimeter would lift a ton of weight off your shoulders by showing how much power is left in your batteries so you 100 % know when to get rid of them
