When a study on tampons revealed high lead levels people here expressed concern. Others reassured that it wasn't enough to worry about. Ok but...

Shortly after, major brands of cinnamon were exposed for high lead. Turmeric too. Now protein shakes.

My worry is how much we're cumulatively taking in.

Tässä kyllä taidettiin pelata nyt aika tehokkaasti investointeihin tarvittava joustovara vuosikymmeniksi pois. Vaikka saataisiinkin veroja korotettua, niin ei tämä ainakaan helpota niiden käyttöä mihinkään, mikä ei tuota välittömästi ja/tai voidaan leimata ”epäoleelliseksi”.

On todella kuvaavaa, että työttömyyskriisin keskellä ja rakentamisen lamassa kukaan Suomessa ei puhu talouden elvyttämisestä. Koronakriisissä sentään nousivat ajatukset mm. vihreästä elvytyksestä ja kestävyysmurroksen kirittämisestä. Nyt istumme käsiemme päällä ja maailma palaa poroksi.

Hallituskaudessa sitoudutaan leikkaamaan velkaa 5,1 miljardia euroa. Siis alentamaan valtion lainakantaa. Tällä hallituskaudella otetaan lisävelkaa 12,6 miljardia euroa.

Tarkoittaa siis sitä, että valtion kuluja pitäisi leikata 17,7 miljardia euroa. Minusta tämä ei kuulosta talouden turvavyöltä.

Ja muistutan, että vasta äskettäin nykyinen pääministeri tunnusti 2019 yrittäneensä syrjäyttää vaalit voittaneen SDP:n hallituksen muodostamisesta kassakaappisopimuksella Halla-ahon kanssa.

Nyt kuvitelkaa tilanne 2027, jossa SDP voittaa vaalit, mutta kokoomus on toisena, ja PS kolmas. Miten käy?

En ymmärrä, miksi demarit haluavat olla mukana tässä velkajarrussa. Mikä idea on väkisin sitoa tulevien hallitusten käsiä ja antaa lisää valtaa valtiovarainministeriölle, joka on viime aikoina epäonnistunut toistuvasti?
Saksa on hyvä esimerkki siitä, miksi tämä on huono idea.

Sanokaapa talousviisaat. Onko tämä velkajarru sellainen mekanismi, jonka avulla voidaan saada siirrettyä valtion omistukset yksityiseen omistukseen? "Pakko myydä, että saadaan rahoitettua X tai Y"? Mietin tässä kiinteistöjä, maa-alueita, osakkeita, rahastoja, joihin ahneisto haluaisi päästä käsiksi.

Näyttää myös ilmeiseltä, että "he eivät tiedä, mitä ovat tekemässä". Eli poliitikoilla ei julkisuuteen tihkuneiden lausuntojen perusteella näytä olevan täyttä ymmärrystä velkajarrulain (tai -sopimuksen) taloudellisista seurauksista. Kun näin on, moraaliposeeraus vastuullisena kääntyykin ympäri.
