I'd add that in a humane system, the financial assistance we give to foster parents should also be available to bio-family.
Often $$$ is a huge hurdle for extended relatives, adult siblings, and yes, even parents to overcome in providing a safe and stable home.

This is more common than we believe smfh. And although there is a clear designation on a family tree for an adoptee, many don’t know about using the label. And that’s by design. And then ppl assume we share genes with our parents.

It's quite a risk to be out as a mad person. Maybe the people who make all those jokes & hold all those harmful attitudes towards us don't think about that aspect. Not being out as mad at my job influenced me to have private account on twitter for years. It is not safe for many of us to disclose.
