I don't remember off the top of my head. I just know the tint itself takes like five minutes to actually noticibly change, and even then it doesn't do anything to stop light that isn't hitting my eyes from straight ahead.
I have some prescription glasses that are SUPPOSED to change tint to adjust for bright light, but in practice they work far too slowly to actually help at all.
I mean I have an eye condition that means my eyes are always absorbing the maximum amount of light they can and thus hate the sun with a burning passion, but that's just me.

That is genuinely disturbing they would push the protests so far down just to highlight the story of a single pardon case?
The top of two prominent newspapers’ mobile editions right now—and the reason that, despite growing up in New York, I always read @theguardian.com first (and rarely open @nytimes.com):

Political parties must shift immediately and dramatically to the left to avoid alienating these frustrated and abandoned young women. Am I doing this right?
Our recent poll found that women 28 and younger skew substantially more left than the national average. Nearly 80 percent of Gen Z women want abortion to be legal and seven in 10 want gender-affirming care to be accessible for trans adults.
Gen Z women are the most liberal group in the country

every smug internet communist tweet about showing up to a No Kings protest with an abolish ICE shirt to scare the libs is getting completely mogged by the real-life winemoms showing up with slogans like "ICE will melt in hell"

Game devs, always remember two things:

1) If you need a publisher, you'll know. Don't let a silver tongue convince you otherwise.

2) If you do have a publisher, they work for you. You don't work for them.
Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%

notice the general mood of the timeline? how everyone is in a good mood and there’s a lot less misery and dooming? how there’s a lot of “we’re going to beat these assholes”?

anyway that’s why these events are important

To be fair, "Freaking out about something they just learned about that's actually been around for decades with no issue" is pretty much the TERF motto
TERFs pretending to freak out about the “transgender propaganda” of “unknown gender” in pokemon that was in the series since gen 2 released in 1999

At 2:17 am last night, Rob Schneider went out his front door, ran into the dark, and he never came back...
I love that this reads like they disappeared with him

The Dem base is now way, way to the left of its elected representatives, for sure.

Boomer moms are out in the streets begging Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to get their shit together and fight back.
I think the lib politicians might have a problem if the dsa politicians are dominating the stage at these lib protests. the problem being that the lib representatives suddenly do not look particularly lib

remembering when CB "akira yoshida" cebulski made a post lamenting that writers were cramming too much into their issues, trying to get everything done at once, and had apparently no thoughts whatsoever about how marvel's penchant for cancelling books ASAP might have to do with that
dude this is so fucking funny lmao. first as farce, then as tragedy

the firehose is public, they can read every one of your stupid posts if they want to

bluesky posts have already been used in court

what you want to avoid is the vicious little groyper running their social media account sending your username to his boss and going “ruin this guy’s life”
If the government wanted to spy on Bluesky users they wouldn't need official accounts to do that, those are only here to get people in trouble for posting dumb shit at them

if you're going to a protest today I wish you luck. The only specific thing I will beg of you is this: don't use milk to wash out tear gas or mace. if you see a street medic with milk, yell at them until they throw it out. do not continue to spread lies about emergency medicine.

Head to a protest today. I can almost promise you will feel less hopeless. That's exactly what they don't want. There are more of us than there are of them.

Pretty much every single one of these new government accounts is posting rage bait. It's possible (like 100% guaranteed) they are trying to provoke people here on purpose, so don't fall for it. Blockity block block block.
Gotta block ‘em all!
Here’s the one-stop shopping blocklist to disappear the Trump regime accounts that swarmed Bluesky yesterday.
