And for anyone dreading the prep drink, they also make pills these days. Insurance may not cover, but it’s worth asking about and finding out if it is. There are options! None of them are going to be an experience you wanna do for fun (probably) but can make it easier.

Today following outreach from @thejusticedept, Facebook removed a large group page that was being used to dox and target @ICEgov agents in Chicago.
The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing their jobs. The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.

In what context? I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a long standing cultural tradition in finding comfort in the images and even bodies of the deceased. Religious reliquaries come to mind.

Chicago Tribune: Greeley, who was born at Illinois Masonic hospital and is adopted, carries a copy of her passport just in case she runs into federal agents.

“I am Latina and I am a service worker,” Greeley said. “I fit the description of what they’re looking for now.”

During the encounter, Greeley said they told her she “doesn’t look like” a Greeley.

“They said this isn’t real, they kept telling me I’m lying, I’m a liar,” Greeley recalled. “I told them to look in the rest of my wallet, I have my credit cards, my insurance.”

There is a similarity though, in that there were a significant number of white Americans that supported the creation of Liberia because they hoped it mean the “undesirable” would leave to another country. Plenty of white westerners supported the creation of Israel for the same reason.

Not exactly. It was founded by ACS, made up mainly of white Quakers and slaveholders. I think you should read further on Liberia because the creation of it and how it was viewed is pretty complex.
