Revising my pin. Here’s the slop I block because it’s omnipresent across all social media and I am *NOT* here for it:
- Trump media (including news articles showing his face)
- AI slop and AI evangelists (go fucking pick up a pencil)
- Liberal classism (if you’re blue and rich, you’re not blue)

One more kinda loose thought/brain dropping on this. Nowadays, everyone’s life is pretty shit. In the 90s, movies about shit going bad had an impact because, by & large, the average American life wasn’t really that shitty. Now we’re all dealing with trauma. Why do I wanna see it in the theater too?

Right, exactly. And I look at us, spending that money, and think “that’s 1/2 of a costco run.” Like we’re already paying for streaming, why did I pay for this? I know the answer if it’s Star Wars or JP, but otherwise, fuggit. I know what DiCaprio looks like.

Yeah, our family just doesn’t really go to the theater anymore. My wife and my entire dating relationship was built on dinner & a movie, but a family of four now costs $120-$150 to get in the door + snacks and etc. (yes I know we can all smuggle in snacks, not so with popcorn)

But now we're seeing so many people brutalized that it's impossible to single out just one event that shocks the nation. George Floyd's killing did, but since then it seems we've become numb to the atrocities happening every day.

Some of you will remember when the killing of four student protestors in Ohio were killed by the National Guard, and that was such a shocking tragedy for the nation. Crosby, Stills, and Nash even wrote a song about it that's still popular today.

I’m telling y’all now (because of course it’s important that y’all know) that if there’s any of these problems where I have to accommodate for Doppler by changing the processing interval on that exam, I am going to glaze over. That shit is confusing.

At least right now it is.

Rest in peace, Drew Struzan. His movie posters are much more than marketing. They're some of the finest pop art you'll ever see. Look at this masterpiece:
