This game means a lot to me. The first time I ever got paid for TTRPG writing was for this. It's weird and wonderful and you should check it out.

That feeling of finishing an epic multi-novel series and thinking, "What am I supposed to do with my free time now?"

Part of me wants to ask for elaboration.

If my understanding of plot elements is correct, Trump will 100% die in office but Republicans will continue to lead the nation by way of AI-generated videos Weekend at Bernie-ing him.

I feel like Reddit primed people for AI. How many people have watched with horror a comment in their field of expertise from some rando get hundreds of upvotes, and a correction beneath it gets 6 reactions because it was posted 20 hours later after the wildfire of attention moved to something else.

Bad Bunny being the Super Bowl Halftime performer is a great opportunity to teach your MAGA relatives that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens.

Grandia 1? I wish I would've played it. I played 2 and do not remember a single thing about it (other than "church bad" but wasn't everyone doing that back then?)

If I still played an instrument, I'd probably be learning how to play "Bella Ciao". Just seems to be a popular song right now.

Those Italians make good music.

I don't usually watch TTRPG APs, but I'm gonna give this one a shot.

When I first read Band of Blades' examples, I thought "Oh neat! This is so helpful!" but then I tried to run the game, went back to the examples, and went, "Wait, how did this lead to that? Why did the GM do that there?" The decision-making process is, of course, never explained.

There have been TTRPGs out there where, when some nuance of rules or design has been laid out, I go "Oh that's *rad*" and I feel like I gain something for my GM toolkit. FitD feels like, the more someone explains it to me, the more I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing.

I'm a little under 10 sessions into a Band of Blades game, and depending on what I read or who I ask, I feel like I'm approaching every single layer of gameplay wrong, from the framing of scenes/threats to roll resolution (or even when to call for a roll).

I genuinely don't think a TTRPG out there has ever made me *more* confused the more I read about it and try to run it as Forged in the Dark.

At some point, I wanna give Night Witches another go, doing it with the writer's intent (GMs switch every Duty Station).

We’re protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility and an agent came out to tell us to go away.

We said we’re exercising our First Amendment rights so he shot the ground with pepper balls and said, “Your First Amendment rights are on the sidewalk.”

PDFs of The Between are out. I contributed some writing for this, and overjoyed to see it now in the world.

What will be your favorite room of Hargrave House?
Cover art for the tabletop roleplaying game "The Between" by Jason Cordova. A woman's eye is seen peeking through a gorgeous sapphire. Writing credits for "The Between", including the author of this blueskeet. A snippet of text from one of the Rooms of Hargrave House, a location in "The Between".

I'm reading a book that has a scene where a subjugated village's leader capitulates to a tyrannical overseer because their baby was being threatened. So they give in, despite everyone telling them what would happen, which is...

The baby is killed anyways. And the village is burned to the ground.

Holy heck, a friend and I found some of these in Central Park. They're *so good*.

Well the good news is that there's other weird west settings out there, and certainly more to come. Not like it's a novel idea these days.

Anyways, have you heard of Ghosts of El Paso?

Something I've been stealing from a game I've never played: Fight With Spirit. In winning team bouts, you ask the other players how they "set up" the final player's narration to win. It feels like it risks stealing the spotlight, but highlights the collaborative nature of the story being told.
