all the articles you read about this will say it "would charge doctors" but there is nothing in the bill limiting the felony crime to medical providers. you could write "would charge parents" and be just as correct. news outlets downplay it because news outlets are transphobic.

Regarding Reiner, I have known a lot of musicians and been in bands myself. I can’t overstate the importance of This Is Spinal Tap in adjusting the self-importance of musicians. Everyone knows the movie, everyone has identified Spinal Tap moments, everyone is humbler and funnier as a result.

Every metric shows that X is not just unpopular but largely considered lame by anyone younger than 30. X tries to counter this by saying it’s still the best megaphone for outlets but anyone who tracks clickthrough traffic also knows this isn’t true.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

Both halves of this are insane, but the second half is so spectacularly unlike the company that changed US copyright law to protect Mickey that I give them a single day to regret it.

Amazon has had many opportunities to create dubbing projects filled with authentic storytelling, emotional connection, and believability. Instead they have chosen to create AI slop dubs of Banana Fish, Vinland Saga, and No Game No life. Many are calling these dubs "insulting" and "disrespectful".

Chainsaw Man is simultaneously worthy of serious discussion for its heartfelt look at society and cycles of abuse and dehumanization, and it's also like, a fantastic nonstop barrage of shitposts

A friend told me that his roommate was just walking down the street when ICE pointed a gun in his face.

It is so much worse than you’re being told. Or shown.
Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

As a former-but-longtime Michigan resident and Chainsaw Man fan, I have to ask… WHY MICHIGAN?!

We’re not the most violent state or the seat of the NRA or anything…!

I know it got renewed for S2, but that ending was some “Where’s Annie”-level shit. My husband and I both went “!!!!!??????!!!!!!”
