As a librarian, I watched people’s research capabilities degrade in the age of Google. Maybe we will be forced now to relearn how to use databases now that even Google keyword searches are worthless.

I'm old enough to have grown up among the rich who were paying pre-Reagan taxes. We had great schools and nice parks and good roads. And they were all plenty rich enough to buy big houses and join fancy country clubs and jump horses over fences.

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.
Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.

They’ve made the charging more complicated than it needs to be.
All we need is access to an outlet we can bring our own charging cables.
This way there is no need for a bunch of backend software stuff that needs to be coordinated with multiple car manufacturers

I agree with this. People with the below attitude actually don’t believe in American exceptionalism.
The reactionary worldview is shot through with a deep-seated disdain for America.
