i've overstayed a visa in thailand. you know what that got me? a small fine and a "don't do that again." wild that an oppressive monarchy did that but we have rabid psychos hooting and hollering about denaturalization and deportation. get fucked.

The screencapped post in the OP offends me by every possible metric. Thrift store & ewaste PCs have been able to run trackers for decades. Similarly cheap second hand instruments & boomboxes filled the gap before that. If you can access their expensive service, you can just use Audiotool for free.
All AI music does is devalue the work done by human artists. It’s not accessibility, it’s exploitation. We need real protections for artists against AI!
BTW — even if you had access to this AI startup as a child, you still wouldn’t know how to make music.

I made music w cracked software & pawn shop guitars for years. I worked free in studios. If you actually have a passion for art you’ll find a way to make it no matter what. That, however, doesn’t entail typing a few words & clicking a button while hoping for the best. Rosie can go to hell.

finally mastering barre chords was this moment for me. it's a skill i had to learn and perfect and was so immensely satisfying to finally be able to play consistently. the robot will never know this feeling

impossible to describe how it felt in the mid-90s when "Possum Kingdom" was on the radio in good rotation, at work trying to mop up the glass/acid spill of a cartload of pickle boxes crashed on the floor while someone screams "Do you wanna die?" from a speaker cut into the drop ceiling.
