Meet Hazel the Rainbow Flower Ghost bag! I designed and hand-sewed her, and I hand-embroidered her rainbow flowers. As a bag, she enjoys carrying cursed or enchanted items, depending on her mood.

Here's a lovely photo of Hazel. She's a fabric art ghost bag with a metal clasp on the top of her head. She's a white ghost with a gray face, large twinkly black eyes, and a little frown. She's covered with hand-embroidered flowers. Each petal is a different color of the rainbow. There's a beautiful galaxy print fabric in the background. Hazel is resting on my palm. Here's a lovely photo of the back of Hazel. She has one rainbow flower embroidered on her back. Here's a lovely photo of a peek into Hazel. The lining of the bag is a black fabric featuring gold mystical objects. There's a moon, stars, a crow with a witch hat, a potion, a tree.

Free and *accurate* information has been available in libraries for centuries and yet universities still struggle on somehow
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

Republican leadership has explicitly said for years that they can’t win fair elections.
Reminder that any political party trying to make it harder to vote is sending a clear message: they can't win on their ideas alone.

experimenting with a render style 🎃 gourdon's gotta put his baking supplies somewhere #bunnart
a digital painting of a fat figure with a gourd for a head, walking in profile while carrying a massive burlap sack. the style of painting is vaguely similar to the rendering of JC Leyendecker. the figure wears an orange, sleeveless, poncho style top, tucked into red wrap pants, and has neutral green hide shoes. the figure has a sprig of green for a "bang", and coloring to imitate buzzed hair, a goatee, and 5 o'clock shadow. he's straining a little bit with the bag, but not much.

We need to bring back pie-ing bigots on live TV
On this day in queer history: Oct 14, 1977

During a live TV appearance in Iowa, anti-gay activist Anita Bryant was hit with a pie in protest of her “Save Our Children” campaign. A sweet moment of queer resistance.

Funny how often people talk about rich fools trying to avoid societal collapse in isolated bunkers as if it's a new phenomenon and not something Edgar Allan Poe wrote a very famous story about in 1842.

That fucking part. No mercy
White people’s insistence that other white people—especially the ones exhibiting morally questionable behavior—deserve the benefit of the doubt is going to kill us all.

Hoo boy, where to start? This magic card is called "Demonic Tutor" and depicts a typical Western European Christian demon with big curling horns, a smoldering expression, sharp teeth, and big black wings holding onto an androgynous-looking human with an open-fronted robe and dark hair, eyes closed, one hand in the demon's and the other reaching upward to channel some kind of power. The flavor text says, 'Betray to me your innocence, and I shall speak to you of power and corruption.' However sexy you are imagining it to be, it is sexier than that. The artist is Kieran Yanner, and I owe them a debt of gratitude.

average horror protagonist: the true horror is worrying that you might be going INSANE!!

me, already insane: fucking bring it, you bitchass ghost
but also EVENTUALLY it will occur to someone other than me that a genuinely mentally ill person, with a lot of experience dismissing their own intrusive thoughts/ delusions/ hallucinations, would make a GREAT horror protagonist.
