Emperor of the Internet. An ongoing proclamation: The internet is for those who strive to be better today than they were yesterday. The rest can log off and fuck off.
Bigotry is a huge no. Cishet wereman.

Repeating my PSA for all new Bluesky users.

Remember, blocking really works here
And now, a PSA song, which 60s kids from the states will surely get:

There is a habit, says the Turtle Bert
To stop the trolling posts before they can hurt
And then they never give your phone an alert
And here is what you do
You block, the weirdoes
Block, the weirdoes
It is now my firm belief that while he was playing for the Jets, someone told Sam Darnold that they only give you points the first time you score a touchdown in every half.

Turns out they give you points every time. You can just keep scoring on your opponent, no questions asked. None.

To be fair, he could open one in USA and would still be rightly accused of whitewashing a murder and torture regime.

Hands up if you feel personally attacked by this one:

Hmmm, tricky one, that.

I don't think Kate Wagner would really like my RL vibe. Which, fair. It can be a fairly annoying vibe at times, I know myself well enough to admit that.

Gail Simone would probably get upset that I would do nothing but bear jokes.
I asked this before over at The Old Place and the answers delighted me. So again:

Who is an artist you admire who you suspect would not like you if they met you personally?

I think Peter Dinklage is fantastic. I would absolutely get on his last nerve. He'd be looking for the door while we spoke.

I won't deny she had some good qualities as speaker.

But she also had some bad ones, and these last few years, those bad qualities have been what we've seen from her, including how she's refused to adjust to a whole different situation altogether.

We 100% need something new and better now.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nancy Pelosi won't seek reelection, ending her storied career in the US House.

Lindsey Boylan was the first whistleblower to come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Andrew Cuomo.

Her accusations & those of 12 others were corroborated by the NY AG (and later by DOJ.) Cuomo resigned.

Now he has lost again, and this picture is as unabashed a joy as you'll see.

I'm sure many other people have noticed and remarked upon this, but practically every video Mamdani released, he was out there on the streets, for two reasons:

1: To reclaim the streets as somewhere to be, to meet your neighbours in.

and

2) A subtle "FU" to the cowards claiming it's not safe.

Growing up in Europe in the 90s and getting abuse scandal upon abuse scandal, as well as their absolotely fozzilised views on the LGBTQ+ family, I probably never imagined I'd ever be cheering on the Catholic Church against... Well, anyone. At the time, I would have expected them to side with Vance.
It's quite fascinating how tradcath converts like JD Vance and Kevin Roberts are increasingly at war with much of a more liberal Catholic Church hierarchy in the United States

Inside @ironspike.bsky.social is two wolves.

One is loving that Zohran Mamdani kicked the shit out of the sex pest and the racist in the polls.

The other is annoyed that New York suddenly have a mayor that might be cooler than Chicago's.

So today started with Dick Chemey dying, and ended with a lot of progressive Democrats winning a lot of elections all over.

Is it too early to declare this the best day of 2025 in USA?

if you didn't follow the VA governor race you didn't know that Earle-Sears ran like a billion anti-trans campaign ads and Spanberger didn't flinch or pull a Newsom.

going all-in against trans people is a losing move, especially when the federal government has made harming and killing us a priority.
Every single county in Virginia shifted Blue.

While I'm sure Ackman hoped that more old people meant more racist votes, it turned out those old people were old enough to remember what a disaster Cuomo was as governor.
Update #2: Ackman is still convinced Cuomo is going to win, and has proposed Cuomo adopt the slogan "MNYGA"

Dick cheney's finnaly dead; anyway, I'm still upset that Metroid Prime 4 and the new Octopath Traveler game release on the same day, and I still haven't learned to control my Switch with my feet so I can play both of them at the same time.

today’s information came out piecemeal, and people should be able to share their own situations on their own time, but I could share this much ^ as it is pretty cut and dry on the facts.

Teen Vogue also no longer has any trans staffers as of today.

now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.

Wauting for the story: "A rich asshole was behind this" to break.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
