It's pretty close, but to truly qualify as a Steve Jeltz-igami, I feel like there should be a fourth time on the same day as the third, to mirror how Jeltz hit his third and fourth home run in the same game.

Also, why are Commanders so good at breaking up eternal scorigamis by losing?
November 11, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Of course, it's true that these days, "New Game+" is pretty much a given, which at least makes replays much quicker.

But I still want an optional and exploitable grind that gives you a leg up even the first time.
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
And when I say it rewards, I not only mean the in-game rewards that helps through the rest of the game.

A deep system with several different avenues of grinding also rewards the -player-, in that they will feel smarter for having discovered a "hidden" exploit of the system.
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
And even if it is possible to gain a butt-ton of levels early (Final Fantasy XII, Octopath Traveler), that is generally the laziest form of exploit.

But creating a system with hidden depths that truly rewards those willing to delve into it? Now we're talking!
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
And it's important that the reward is permanently good for pretty much the rest of the game, preferably in a way that also saves you enough time to make it worth the effort.

So things like a few extra levels is generally not useful for long. Plus, that's just boring grinding.
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
That with about five hours of specific, intelligently set up grinding early in the game, you can then eliminate random encounters entirely, -and- breeze through the plot bosses and plot battles -for the entire rest of the game-!

No other JRPG game I know rewards the gamer like this "exploit" does.

But my second example is from one of my favourite turn-based RPG engines: Final Fantasy 8.

It is not an easy engine to truly understand, because it is more complex than most.

But when you do, you'll discover something truly amazing.

So now, by progressing in a different way than expected, you have, almost right away, mid- and high-end cars you didn't pay for, that you can then use in quite a few races without spending much money on tuning, and win those quicker than you otherwise would with the starter cars.

Delightful.
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Instead, you can start by getting all licences, and more importantly, get gold results on the first couple of licences.

Getting an all-gold B licence in GT3 gets you a Mazda Mx-5.

There is an endurance race for that model, where tuning is not allowed.

The endurance races have great rewards.
November 11, 2025 at 3:49 AM
To explain what I mean better, I'll use two very different games that has grinding in them as examples:

First, Gran Turismo 3. The normal way of progressing involves a fair amount of racing the same slow races or championships several times over to earn more money.

But you don't have to.

On a side note, one of my favourite denouncements was when the Washington racist name club owner died, and he made lots of demands in his will about the team keeping on being racist, so everyone just agreed to ignore the shit out of those demands.
November 11, 2025 at 12:39 AM
And -stay the course- when criticized by those with don't believe you at first, which is guaranteed.

Acknowledge that they are right to doubt, right to feel pissed off, no matter how many times you've done it before.

What are the odds Nate Silver has a lurker burner so he can name search himself and see what everyone who's blocked him has to say about him?

Take the Democratic Party away from Democratic leadership.
I can't stress this enough as a super volunteer for the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates. This should prompt you to get MORE involved, not less. Show up and use the existing infrastructure to make it work for all of us. In my neck of the woods, we've seen a ton of local victories this way.

In light of this, I propose we name 44-22 the "Steve Jeltz score" of Scorigami.

Also, two of the three matches, the Commanders were involved, both times the losing team.
November 10, 2025 at 3:07 PM
A month ago, 44-22 was an Eternal Scorigami.

Then the Cowboys ruined that.

And then this happened:

Nothing, just some completely random weirdo making up weird things about Canada not having pickles. Never caught their name.

I know that you are always 100% honest in everything you say, so I understand if someone doing this surprises and maybe even saddens you. But we're here for you, Gail!

Basketball is like "let's get the giant oranges into the basket so we can sell them at the market. Oh, it fell though. Well, let's try again."

Gotta love this one.

The Cards drive all the way down to the Seahawks 1, then fail to convert that into a touchdown.

The Seahawks then immediately fumble the ball on their own 1, giving the Cardinals four more chances.

The Cardinals say "Thank you for this gift" and score.
November 9, 2025 at 10:37 PM
And then the Seahawks fumbled that one right away to pretty much give the Cardinals a freebie touchdown.

Murrikan futtball is so gloriously stupid. Gotta love it.

Meanwhile, how it started and how it's going for the Cardinals:
