At the risk of being labeled a "shitlib" or a "genocide enabler" it really doesn't seem terribly likely to me that Kamala Harris would've had the entire east wing of the White House completely demolished on purpose for no good reason.

the thing which astounds me is that the Soviet golden age was from the middle of Khrushchev to the beginning of Brezhnev! the Soviet economy was growing faster than the US economy! they got to space first! we were convinced they were about to eclipse us! and yet they worship a miserable despotate.
Selling their souls for a political project that was buried three short years after Stalin’s death and will never be reborn seems like an incredible waste of time and energy, but I guess I just hate the working class.

One thing I am realizing about this administration-- not just Trump, but his underlings-- is that they all think running the country is functionally the same as being able to have everything they want, all at once, immediately.

Being middle aged in this specific moment is a REALLY annoying place to live with a Cassandra Complex (you always know what's going to happen because you've seen it before but nobody believes you anyway) ...but it's also kind of funny.
And in about ten years the consensus on the sequels is gonna swing too and people will start looking at you funny if you try to say those ones are bad.
