I really think the public is in the dark about just how weak the accountability guardrails are right now for DHS agents, meaning Trump's paramilitary forces are largely unconstrained.

Trump is using state-sponsored propaganda to a degree unmatched by any president in modern times. But we should also note that this is enabled by the GOP's crippling of Congressional oversight on Trump's behalf.
