Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

We have got to start understanding that business, especially these large bubble businesses, do not have an inherent right to exist.

They should only exist if they provide something of value. If they don't, they should fade away.
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action

This is a sad reality: a *lot* of folks who don't act racist do it solely out of social pressure.

Social Media has given folks a loophole around that social pressure, and it's exposing how important it is that the rest of us shame the everliving hell out of those folks. It's what works.
She’s working at all the prestige places, and I don’t mean to be arch about it, but it feels like the only place with a strong enough taboo to find this disqualifying in white America is on social media among mixed company.
The complete racism is breathtaking. How is she a journalist writing today? Who would hire this?

The US is not a liberal democracy, and hasn’t been since January. Constitution, rule of law, checks and balances, individual rights — all not in operation.

It’s now a mixed regime, autarky, competitive authoritarianism.

Not at risk. Not could be. Is.

Doesn’t mean that’s forever. But it is now.
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

You might look at this and go: "we should discard this because it's obviously chest pounding bullshit."

But that's a mistake. We need to pass a whole new set of laws regarding how our officials communicate with the public. Time for accountability.
