Look, when someone says "cis is a slur" you can be a nerd, and cite the history of the word, and talk about normativity and geometry and Latinate prefixes, but despite that all being factually correct, it's the wrong response.

The right response is "quit being a fuckin pussy".

It's not "like" that, it literally is that. That is literally how they approach all discourse, as a series of magic tokens deployed in bad faith to secure power. antilogicalism.com/wp-content/u...

Can this stop being such an uphill battle with people just thinking I am wearing a tinfoil hat or being pedantic?

2FA is just right there, it stops this in it's tracks, and @github.com refusing to enforce it is a massive problem.

Look, Nvidia thought it was a gaming company and OpenAI thought it was a charity so if you're expecting either of those companies to have some master plan to avoid the bubble popping you need to look elsewhere.

Developers, please, enable passkey MFA on your npm account. It's extremely easy, and makes this category of attack impossible. At this point, I feel like it's negligent of GitHub not to require this of all publishers.

"Finally, you seem to not give a thought about the fact that your contributions demand work of other people. The fact that you were able to generate large amount of code that passes test is interesting, but that's only 20% of the work
One of the many joys of using AI for programming is the creation of huge PRs on complex topics that the authors barely understand, but still suggest "because they work". Here's a great example from #OCaml github.com/ocaml/ocaml/...

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

The only time I've had a brined deep fried turkey, my dad created a 10' radius circle of blackened soot in his yard. Worth it! Big fun fire! Came out great! Almost as good as any mediocre cut of pork cooked with bare minimum competence. But suicidal to do indoors, witaf.

he and his MAHA movement are child killers
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.
