There's also an insane logic spiral going on here.

We've lost our audience to the internet!
We can't produce as much quantity or quality because we're broke!
Because we're broke, we're going to use a service to make our quality even worse!
People will flock back to us!

I once owned a 1986 Buick Regal for less than 12 hours. I was hit by an older lady running a stop sign on the way home from buying the car in the morning, and that evening I sold it on to a local lowrider crew. I just didn't want to deal with the body repair.
QOTD: What car did you own for the shortest period of time? I had this Saab for eight months before it went kaput.

These walls have been in place for a long time in Montreal. Montreal-Ouest fences itself off from Lachine on several of its roads, and of course there's the infamous Acadie fence that separates the rich and poor in the central part of the city.

Many of you are freaking out because you've done the math and it's going to be very hard to finish that manuscript by New Year's.

That's okay. It really is.

Targets are to help you get words on the page. No one will know or care that you finish days or weeks after your date.

Just. Keep. Writing.

Note to people who really want me to forward their emails to Chad: write them in Klingon.
So I get a bunch of emails for things. Today, one of my emails that I sometimes glance over was written in Klingon. You bet your ass I opened it.

Note to people who really want me to read their emails: write them in Klingon.

Hey, friends and colleagues: I’m hearing that comics Kickstarters are a steep climb right now.

If you’ve got one running right now, drop a link here and tell us a little bit about it! I want to help you get the word out… and show people a better place to spend money than any Black Friday sale!

Why would I ever send my kids to any of these universities that sell out academic freedom at the slightest discomfort?

Not doing a Black Friday sale BUT I did update my shop in a MAJOR way today. It now has digital artbooks and a clearance section for prints I wanna retire, with a chunky 20% off on top of everything. It's gonna run for a while but yeah, you should check it out!

People complaining about current TV and Film: “Everything is the same. It’s all soulless, recycled, corporate-controlled. computer generated garbage.”

People given access to a soulless corporate-owned computer-generated idea recycler: “Creativity is democratized! Now I can make movies!”

Here is a link to the first volume of Black’s Myth. The whole thing. Because I’m thankful for you. If you enjoy it, pass it on.

I had a colleague once who mentioned offhand that he played jazz in clubs. I looked him up and found he had won a Grammy. When asked WTF he was still working as a computer consultant, he replied "Do you have any idea what jazz pays?"

The cost of participating in the economy is enormous from a tech perspective. Why don't we approach the problem from that angle instead?
