Some of the greatest indie miniatures that you never heard of, apparently. Glib. Posts a lot of non hobby stuff as well. Not 100% serious https://heresyminiatures.com/shop

I don't know what either of those are so don't worry about it. I like Macs cos - up til 2017 when i go this one - they just worked when you click things unlike the pcs i used to have which crashed relentlessly
Yeah, that's the one, there was literally no choice about it, they stopped supporting the old Outlook For Mac when Macs went 64 bit only and forced everyone onto the 365 subscription model. Totally shit, lags for up to 30mins sometimes and the search function is rubbish
I hate Outlook for Mac so much. It used to be great a few years back, with easy to set up rules for all sorts of specific emails filtering them into easily findable folders, like Missing Order, Pre-Orders, Suppliers, etc. Now I have to trawl through 200 emails just to find one from yesterday
An abacus with (life) on one side and (death) on the other is a marvellous way of keeping track of health etc, great idea!
I made a Spirit Island #boardgames Fear Tracker with 3d printing and some Hirst Arts bits!
I don't like shuffling around the fear tokens, so I made an abacus version with a 'nice' side and a 'scary' side. The plaster is nice and heavy so this doesn't shuffle around.
Details in alt-text
Two mini scenes made from Hirst Arts plaster cast pieces, shot in a photobooth.
The left side is a nice brown fieldstone piece with a fountain with blue water, and a well kept barrel and bucket.
The right side is the 'scary' version, now in gray scale, with a crumbling wall and the bucket and barrel ruined and the water turned to blood.
The metal bars slide into the reverse sides, with the skull beads shifting to the scary side as more fear is built up. 3d printed skull beads on a 2mm metal bar, used as counters on an abacus or a number line.
The skull beads are a remix I made of a popular 'low poly skull'. I just shrank it down and put a hole through the temples, and printed off sixteen of them.
Used my Elegoo Centauri Carbon, using purple/black silk filament. Printed on a 0.4 nozzle at 0.08 layerheight using my 'mini' settings.
Link to the remix: https://www.printables.com/model/1446807-low-poly-skull-bead-horizontal-spirit-island The Fear Abacus setup. The 'nice' side is on the left, the 'scary' side is on the right. It's placed at the top of the Spirit Island state tracker, showing the fear counters it replaced.

16 skulls are shown, but the bar can be popped off and skulls removed for smaller numbers of players (4 skulls per player).
If I ever do 5 or 6 player games, I'll just need to source a longer bar. The one shown is 300mm long with a 2mm diameter.
There's a lot to take in here, but mostly, at around 1.18, he goes what I would call Full Toast, which will only make total sense if you've seen the series Toast Of London, starring Matt Berry but here's a gif that illustrates it

THERAPIST: How long has it been since you experienced an anxiety attack?

SINGER FROM BARENAKED LADIES: It's been...

THERAPIST: Please. We talked about this.
For the best that they don't show them much.. but a good little film!.
A new Lovecraft adaptation on Amazon. The Whisperer In The Darkness. Super low budget and only barest glimpses of the Mi-Gos but really enjoyed it a lot more than The Call Of Cthulhu one that's also on there
I've seen at least one of those on the shelves in the UK in supermarkets like Asda, B&M etc...
If any of you indulge in protein shakes etc, but worry about the amount of lead in miniatures, good news/bad news. The good news is the miniatures still aren't going to harm you as long as you wash your hands. The protein shakes, however...

Hayfever in October! It's not even warm but my nose is running and my left eye is bright red...
I nipped in on the way back from work and they didn't have any of these potentially multi-use skulls in store
Because I knew Amazon had one reduced from £124 to £59.99 that can do rotisserie chicken, so if someone wants to put a £25 order in to make up the difference, I'll get that one whilst the offer is available!

*cynical laugh*
They have changed the design of the model and added some textured surfaces, so the new design doesn' count as the sam emodel, so they wouldn't swap it! They did give me the £35 I paid in the January Sale back but the (same) new version cost £57.59 so no, for that reason:

possibly the greatest cat photo ever. happy halloween
Photo of grey cat sitting, arms lifted towards the light streaming in at a window. Looks like she's communing with god or controlling the weather. The room is filled with steam from a shower, but it looks like a mystical fog
would also add, i did of course try to repair the broken flange with some steel weld, and it lasted 2 uses. Couldn't take the heat, is my guess.
Been a damn good purchase, that, for £35. My top 3 are currently Delonghi coffee machine (7 years, still not broken, used *a lot* every morning), and then sliding waaaaay down the cost pile, I kid you not, a pea sieve for £3, which gets used an astonishing amount for non-peas, then the air fryer
