NEW EP: SWEETHEARTS (2024)

The first fall break in college is one of the weirdest coming-of-age adjustment periods, and SWEETHEARTS is one of the only movies to talk about it. Let's tackle "Turkey Dumps" and intergenerational queer friendships in small towns!

What a good time for a bad time.
It’s show announcement Sunday. Things are bleak and dystopian stories feel like they’re going to have a resurgence, so we felt it necessary to honor 25 years of BATTLE ROYALE. Episode drops on Thursday. Good luck.

The announcement of a lifetime — I contributed a solo commentary track for the Umbrella release of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE (1978).

Decades later, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE: DEJA VU (DAY OF THE WOMAN: DEJA VU) revisits that legacy with shocking audacity, bringing the story full circle in a brutal, haunting continuation that refuses to ...

The best things on Letterboxd are genuine reviews that stand a better chance of being read there than on most sites but only for ~LIKES~ or the kind of one sentence zingers that used to just go on film Twitter.

I dunno, maybe consolidating everything to ANOTHER social media site is bad?

I don't really know if Lifetime movies are for me but there is at least a lot I respect about about The Pregnancy Pact. It is a lot more honest about sexual repression and teen pregnancy than most other movies, coming-of-age or not.
NEW EP: THE PREGNANCY PACT

A ripped-from-the-headlines Lifetime drama that has us wondering why so many people are obsessed with stories about teen girls behaving "badly," and asking where the line is between entertainment and exploitation.

It’s #TransgenderAwarenessWeek! Did you know that it’s so unlikely for a podcast host to be trans that statistics on it are inconclusive? And its even LESS likely if the show isn’t explicitly ABOUT transness?

At This Ends at Prom we got @harmonycolangelo.bsky.social, a girl who can do both.
