Ah, mate, I'm really sorry to hear that. Genuinely. From the bits you posted, you both seemed so happy together. I'm also staggered, tbh, that marriage wouldn't offer a route to be together on either side? That feels bizarre.

Worth remembering that only ~51% of the population voted, and Leave votes accounted for around 26%. That's a lot of people being ignored and going unrepresented. And that's without factoring in what I would suggest is an obligation for politicians to do what is in the best interests of the country.

Massive shame for Danns. Two seasons now, massively disrupted by injury, at a critical point in his development. I thought he looked lively in his cameo against Southampton, too, which just adds to the frustration. Hopefully he can come back ready to kick on again in the new year. #LFC

Appreciate the well considered response.

Cool. You best let everyone know that everything is, in fact, hunky dorey.

Yeah, there does remain a question around resources and capability to mount an election campaign with a genuine focus on forming a government. They've spoken about targeting 39(?) seats they came second in last time. It needs to be far wider than that as a focus. Can they ramp up to that extent?

Yeah, same. Being completely honest, that whole debacle just raised far too many serious red flags to take them seriously as a legitimate option. I really like Zarah, in particular, and kinda hope she might join the Green's instead. Alternatively, work with them toward a shared goal.

Completely agree, and I take no pleasure in doing so, as someone who had high hopes for them initially.

Why has it taken this long for anybody from Labour to talk honestly about Brexit? They failed to properly oppose it, and they have avoided all reference to it ever since, despite it being a ginormous elephant in the room. One of a growing list of utter gaffes from them across the last 10 years.

Seen two separate posts today, from people claiming to be socialists, accusing Zack Polanski of being "propped up by the establishment" to effectively torpedo the chances of 'Your Party' succeeding. I was hopeful about them initially, but i'd politely suggest they did a good job of that themselves.

Hope you're not speaking personally here, mate. And if you are, I hope things work out for you (both).

The 'War On Drugs' has been an utter and consistent failure, so legalising and bringing it out of the shadows seems like a positive move, to me. And leaving NATO isn't official policy. Also, why not join and vote on these policies rather than standing aside and complaining? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Without the all over pattern, it could've been really nice. With it? Looks a bit much.

I've been a Labour voter my entire voting life (albeit partly due to the FPTP system). Today I joined the Greens; A party and a leader with a vision I actually believe in. Feels good to have hope again, after years of the opposite. @zackpolanski.bsky.social @greenparty.org.uk

Agreed. Definitely has his specialism, but he's mastered it.

Glad it's not just me! I keep seeing them and scratching my head, wondering what I've missed.

I think he's a step down on Konate as well, personally.

I'm currently working through Kingdom for a second time. He's great in that, too.

I feel for you, mate. Truly. If it offers any sort of comfort (and I know that it won't right now), I can say that whilst it never goes away, it does get easier. A part of him lives on through you as well, along with a lifetime of memories. Look after yourself.
grobbelrevell.bsky.social
Agreed. I know someone over here who is bang into Reform and 'stopping the invasion'. The fella and his entire family are literally immigrants themselves, and the complete lack of empathy from that viewpoint astounds me, it really does.

Up there with the dopes who voted for Brexit and then kicked off because it (shock, horror) affected them and their ability to live freely across Europe as well. The same folk who want us out of the ECHR but fail to appreciate that it doesn't just impact their latest villains.

Do you think Brits who label themselves as 'Ex-Pats', whilst simultaneously attacking 'immigrants', even recognise the absurd, laughable levels of hypocrisy? British exceptionalism at its very worst.

This is why I stopped following the English national team many years ago.
