Nice touch from the away end.

That's what they should've all done. Fill your boots, lad. I get he might be your mate on international duty, but not today. Today, to paraphrase Klopp; He wants our points.

Also funny how little Bowen seemed to bother with stopping him, as an aside.

If I was a West Ham fan I'd be absolutely furious with that meek performance, at home, against a side on the absolute floor. I expected blood and thunder from them and it never came. No intensity at all, really, which was nice. Alas, thankfully I'm not.

Hard to overstate just how much better that was than what we'd seen across the last 3 or 4. Organised, concentrated, together. Wirtz with his best overall performance for the club; All energy and vision. Both full backs did well. Nobody below a 6/10. Let this be the one to build from. #LFC

Nah, not having that. Balotelli was a complete waste of talent. Isak looks willing, but his body isn't there yet. Balotelli never had the will to begin with.

Nervous about what kind of tranquiliser they might be injecting them with at HT, mind you. On a serious note, they *cannot* come out like they have in the last couple. The focus they've had in that first half needs to be there from the whistle. I'd take a clean sheet now. #LFC

Almost don't want to say it, but that was a decent half of football from #LFC. Nothing spectacular, but the basics are far more evident. Players switched on and backing each other up. Gravenberch and, in particular, Wirtz the standouts. The latter the best player on the pitch by a distance.

I'd've benched Konate and Mac Allister before anyone. Surprised to see the latter in over Jones in particular. I'm okay with the Salah change, b/c at least that feels like the manager doing *something*, albeit the timing for dropping Mo feels slightly odd given his form has picked up recently.

There were some dark arts at play, which frankly I had to admire. At one point they tried to hide my ball. Have to say, I went in complacent and found myself equivalent to 2 down at HT away to a lower league side in the cup. The underdogs couldn't quite hold on but ultimately won hearts and minds.

I kinda feel like that's been the chat for the last two months.

And that should be what Slot and the team are expecting. The last thing I want to see is a #LFC XI looking surprised at what is in front of them, when everyone can see it coming a mile off. Not least because we've shown everyone the way home against us repeatedly. Time for that to change.

If I'm a West Ham fan I'm wanting them absolutely smashing into us from the first second, by the way. They should be going at this with absolute intensity and belief that they can win the game. Everything we've shown so far this season suggests that if they make it a fight, they'll win it.

Slohamed and Slody made me laugh and cry at the same time.
