I dunno, is it indelicate to have some caveats about the Adoration of Springer in Toronto now? Terrific ballplayer, great moment, but he was a part of Houston’s electronic cheating scandal and NOT one of the (only) 4 players who instructed they NOT be given camera-based signals from the dugout.

The good news is that as approval continues to decline, the median voter’s attention to matters is inherently increasing, and “he is physically destroying the white house while robbing the treasury for investigating him” is very understandable and salient to even many of the most checked out minds.

The way to answer "has anybody done this since Idi Amin in 1972" would be for Conservatives to name a democratic government that revoked permanent settlement to remove legal rights & then deported, expelled those people.

Important they get asked to give the counter-example to "since Idi Amin"

learned recently that the guy who wrote "The Night Before Christmas," clement clarke moore, also wrote a takedown of thomas jefferson's proto-scientific racism in "Notes on the State of Virginia," basically accusing him and others of making it up to justify slavery. which, that's right.
